Appointments and Examination
What Can I Expect at an Appointment?
When you arrive at the clinic, our staff will welcome you and guide you to the waiting area.
We will examine you as quickly as possible. The average waiting time is approximately 15 minutes.
What Happens if I Am a New Patient?
You may have:
- Referred yourself
- Been referred by another specialist
- Been referred through your medical insurance
We will discuss your problem, review your medical history and carry out a thorough examination.
Additional investigations or tests may be requested to help support the diagnosis.
Do You Have Imaging Facilities (X-rays, Ultrasonography, CT Scan)?
Yes.
The following imaging services are available on-site:
- Ordinary X-rays
- Panoramic mouth X-rays
- Ultrasonography
- Endoscopy
- CT Scan
- Bone Mass Density Scanner
- Laser Imager (Digital Developer)
Do You Examine Children at Your Clinic?
Yes.
A Pediatrician is immediately available whenever required.
What Happens if I Need an Intramuscular or Intravenous Injection?
Some medical conditions require injections for faster and more effective recovery.
These may include:
- Antibiotics
- Anti-inflammatory medicines
- Local anaesthesia
- Steroids
Steroid and local anaesthesia injections are administered by doctors.
Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory injections are administered by an experienced nurse under medical supervision.
What if I Need Anaesthesia?
We can perform only minor procedures at our medical centre using:
- Local anaesthesia
- Superficial sedation
Procedures requiring general anaesthesia are transferred to Athens or to the patient's destination for admission to a General Hospital.
What Happens if I Need a Prescription?
We may prescribe medicines such as pain relief (analgesics) depending on your condition.
Please inform us if you have:
- Any allergies
- Any other medical conditions
If you are already taking medicines prescribed by another doctor, please bring them with you so we can check for possible drug interactions.
Insurance and Billing
Do You Accept My Insurance?
Our Medical Centre accepts most internationally recognised insurance companies with affiliate arrangements.
If your insurance is not accepted or you do not have insurance, payment is required at the end of the consultation by:
- Cash
- Credit Card
You will receive:
- Original payment receipt
- Signed credit card receipt (if applicable)
- Medical report in English
- Test results
These documents can be submitted to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
An estimate of consultation fees, investigations and surgical costs is available on request.
Do I Need a Referral?
If you have private insurance with an affiliate, the referral can be sent to us by:
- Fax
We recommend contacting your insurance company before your appointment.
If you do not have insurance, you are welcome to visit the Medical Centre and follow the standard billing procedure described above.
Do You Have Parking Facilities?
Yes.
Free parking is available in front of and around the Medical Centre.
